Moldova-based defender Patrick Kpozo made his first appearance for the Black Stars in their stalemate against Madagascar in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers on Sunday.
The 25-year-old started and lasted the entire duration in the 0-0 draw against Madagascar at the Stade Barea Mahamasina in Antananarivo.
Kpozo was included in the 25-man squad for the Madagascar clash following his swashbuckling performance in Moldova for FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
The former Inter Allies star was given his first start in the absence of regulars, Baba Rahman and Gideon Mensah due to injuries.
He made 24 appearances in all competitions for Moldovan champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol this season.
Kpozo won double his outfit in the just ended season (Moldovan Cup and Premier League).
