FC Nordjaelland youngster Ernest Nuamah made his debut for Ghana when they shared the spoils with Madagascar in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers on Sunday.
The 20-year-old made substitute appearance as Ghana held Madagascar to a pulsating goalless draw at the Stade Barea Mahamasina in Antananarivo.
Nuamah was introduced in the 62nd minute mark, replacing Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana.
The winger earned his first call up into the Black Stars after stellar season with FC Nordjaelland in Denmark.
Nuamah finished the season with 16 goals and 4 assists across all competitions, which helped Nordsjaelland finish second in the league.
He scooped three awards at the end of the 2022/23 football season in Denmark.
The Right to Dream graduate won the Spring Profile (voted by the Superliga head coaches), Profile of the Year: (voted by the Superliga players) and Young Player of the Year (chosen by the Divisional Association’s expert panel).
He is expected to join the Black Meteors for the U23 AFCON tournament to be staged in Morocco.
