Arsenal fans voted Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey the Player of the Match for the North London Derby following their 3-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.

Partey lasted for 73 minutes before being replaced by Albert Sambi Lokonga as he helped his side maintain their lead at the summit of the Premier League.

The 29-year-old lashed home an inch-perfect curling effort from 25 yards out 20 minutes into the north London derby to put the Gunners on their way to victory, which was his first goal for the club from outside the box.

Gabriel Jesus capitalised on a mix-up between Hugo Lloris and Cristian Romero to put Arsenal in front from close range before Granit Xhaka struck a clinical third after Emerson Royal had been red carded for a reckless foul on Gabriel Martinelli.

Partey has already missed four games due to injury this season, including his side’s only defeat of the campaign so far at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

He has made five league appearances for Arsenal this season so far and scored one goal in the process.
