Hatayspor, a Super League team that was impacted by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, has arrived in Istanbul. The entire burgundy-white team led by coach Volkan Demirel arrived at Istanbul Airport on Tuesday evening. Coach Volkan Demirel, who left the questions of the press unanswered at the airport, said, "I don't want to say anything right now, but I will talk in detail in two or three days." Winger Christian Atsu and Sporting Director Taner Savut are not part of the traveling team. According to reports yesterday Christian Atsu has been rescued and is in a hospital but Sporting Director Taner Savut is yet to be rescued from the collapsed building. In other news, Yeni Malatyaspor Benjamin Tetteh's former team has lost their goalkeeper Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan. The goalkeeper was left under the rubble after the earthquake. Yeni's coach, Ylmaz Vural, reported that Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan's lifeless body had been found during a live broadcast on Show TV. "Our Ahmet died. His lifeless body was removed. Condolences to his wife and Malatyaspor," Vural said. Ahmet Eyüp Türkaslan passed away at the age of 28. Kübra Türkaslan, the wife of the football player, was rescued with injuries.
