Databank's Chief Executive, Kojo Addae-Mensah, has taken the reins from Ace Ankomah on the GFA's specialized five-member quest panel for the Black Stars' new head coach.

Headed by GFA Vice President Mark Addo, the committee includes Professor Joseph Mintah, Chief Director of the Sports Ministry, William Caesar Kartey, and Ghanaian football icon Opoku Nti.

The GFA stipulates a three-week timeframe for the committee to propose the next Black Stars coach to the Executive Council for approval.

The quest for a new head coach has persisted since the abrupt departure of Chris Hughton, who fell short in guiding the Black Stars beyond the group stages in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

As per the Ghana Football Association's recent statement, the committee has set a deadline of February 2, 2024, for potential applicants to submit their candidacy for the vacant position.

The GFA outlines five criteria, including a minimum of 15 years of coaching experience, that the new head coach must satisfy to assume the role of Black Stars head coach.
