Former head coach of Ghana, Avram Grant will officially become the new head coach of the Zambia national team by the close of his week.
Before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Israeli tactician was linked with the Zambia job.
After several talks in the last few weeks, a deal is now set to be struck between the tactician and officials of the Zambia Football Association.
Today, sources have confirmed that the former Chelsea boss has arrived in Zambia.
He is expected to hold a crunch meeting with officials of the Zambia FA before the end of the week.
At the end of the meeting, he will have the chance to sign a contract to become the head coach of the Chipolopolo.
Once he signs, Coach Avram Grant will replace Croatian gaffer Aljosa Asanovic who resigned from his position in September 2022 after being in charge for only nine months.
Coach Grant will be expected to prepare a Zambia national team that will be able to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which has been scheduled to be held in Cote d'Ivoire in January 2024.
