German-born Ghanaian forward Aaron Opoku has popped up on the radar of German club Fortuna Düsseldorf, Footballghana.com can report.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at VfL Osnabrück from Hamburg SV and enjoyed an amazing season in the German third-tier.
He scored three goals and provided 15 assists in 31 matches for the club in the just ended season.
The Ghanaian winger is under contract at Hamburg SV until 2024.
According to reports in Germany, Fortuna Dusseldorf are in search of a replacement for Khaled Narey who is likely to leave the club after just one season.
Fortuna Dusseldorf are not ready to lose Narey on a free transfer and will, however, sanction his move.
However, the club has set sights on signing the Ghanaian forward ahead of next season.
The German-Ghanaian has spent the last three seasons on loan at other clubs. He has had stints with Hansa Rostock, Jahn Regensburg VfL Osnabrück in the past three seasons.
Aaron Opoku is also on the radar of Eintracht Braunschweig and Rapid Vienna from the Austrian Bundesliga who recently secured promotion to the second-tier.
