Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil nets brace for Genk in 5-2 win over Anderlecht

Ghanaian international, Joseph Paintsil was in fine form on Sunday afternoon and scored a brace to help KRC Genk to beat RSC Anderlecht 5-2 in the Belgium Pro League.

The winger started for his team today in the Week 33 encounter of the league campaign.

In a game of many goals, Mbwana Samatta scored in the 36th minute to open the scoring for KRC Genk.

Seven minutes later, Islam Slimani restored parity when he found the back of the net to make it 1-1 for Anderlecht.

Before the break, a strike from Outtara Mohammed handed KRC Genk a 2-1 lead in injury time.

After recess, Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil also got his name on the scoresheet to increase the lead for his team. He grabbed his second for the brace in the 87th minute.

With El Khannous also scoring four minutes later, KRC Genk cruised to a 5-2 win at full-time. Anders Dreyer netted the second consolation goal for RSC Anderlecht in the defeat.

Ghana duo Majeed Ashimeru and Francis Amuzu featured for Anderlecht in the defeat.
