Ghana's Richard Boakye Yiadom joins Greek club Lamia FC

Greek club Lamia has officially announced the signing of Ghanaian attacker Richmond Boakye Yadom on a two-year contract.

The experienced Ghanaian attacker has previously played for Genoa in Italy, Sassuolo, Atalanta, Juventus, Latina Calcio, Elche in Spain, Ronda in the Netherlands, Red Star in Serbia, Jiangsu Suning in China, Gornik Zabrze in Poland, while last year he played in Israel with Beitar Jerusalem.

After signing on the dotted line, Boakye told the club that he is excited to join and that he can't wait to get started.

"I am very happy to be in the Lamia team. It is a special challenge for my career and I hope we can all achieve our goals together,"

Boakye began his career with Bechem United in his native country of Ghana. He eventually moved to Agogo, Asante Akim North District-based club, D.C. United and remained until 2008 when he was scouted by Genoa C.F.C. following a tournament in Vicenza, Italy.
