Belgium-born Ghanaian attacker Jeremy Doku provided an assist in champions Manchester City's 2-1 win against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

The former Stade Rennais attacker started the game at the Etihad Stadium and lasted 75 minutes.

In the early stages, Phil Foden caused problems for the visitors when he took control of the ball, broke forward, and released the energetic Jeremy Doku, who looped over and cut inside.

The first goal arrived quickly when Doku again slipped by the defense to get to the byline and pull back, allowing Alvarez to score.

In the 19 minutes, Haaland doubled City's lead, capitalizing on Brighton's defensive lapses. This goal put an end to his recent goal drought.

The Norwegian was allowed too much room as he surged towards the area and then sent a long-range left-footed effort into the bottom corner.

Ansu Fati was on hand to turn in the rebound after Mitoma's effort to pass into the danger zone was taken out by City defender Akanji in the 73rd minute.
