In the wake of Ghana's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Mexico in a recent friendly match held in North Carolina, Black Stars goalkeeper's trainer, Richard Kingson, lauded Lawrence Ati Zigi for his commendable handling of back passes.
Despite the defeat, Kingson expressed confidence in the goalkeeper's abilities and emphasized the need to address the team's shortcomings in order to bounce back stronger.
"Yes he did very well especially he got very hard passes very difficult ones but he was able to deal with it," he told 3Sports.
"Looking at his concentration and determination was very high so we are going back to our training grounds to correct some of the mistakes and in future we improve," he added.
Hirving Lozano and Antuna Romero gave Mexico a 2-0 win over Ghana in an international friendly at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Stephan Ambrosius makes his first start for the Black Stars on Saturday.
Hirving Lozano struck first in the 57th minute before substitute Antuna Romero added the second goal inside 72 minutes.
