Southampton Manager Ruben Selles has revealed that Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu has been suffering from a hip abductor issue, which has kept him out of action since the March international break.

Salisu last played for the club against Tottenham before the international break, but did not feature for Ghana in their games against Angola.

According to Selles, the injury has been a recurring issue for Salisu throughout the season, but it has recently worsened.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of their match against Crystal Palace, Selles said, "He is an injured player and we cannot have an issue with the attitude there if he is not available. We can talk about the players that are available. Salisu is unfortunately not available for us."

When asked about Salisu's attitude towards his injury, Selles emphasized that the issue of attitude only pertains to the players who are available for the team and are working hard to compete in the upcoming match.

He added, "The issue with attitude could only be with the players who are with us working and trying to compete for tomorrow’s game."
