Former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars midfielder Yussif Chibsah have urged Ghana Football Association ExCo member Nana Oduro Sarfo to apologize to Stephen Appiah for his better yourself academically comment.
GFA ExCo member Oduro Sarfo recently advised former footballers to better themselves academically if they want to be eligible for leadership roles in Ghana football.
Sarfo's statements were in response to those made by Stephen Appiah, a former Black Stars captain, about football management in Ghana.
"Samuel Eto’o is the FA president for Cameroon. He needed to go to school so he can better himself academically. He joined associations that are affiliated with their FA before making plans to contest. If Stephen Appiah wants to play a key role or wants to lead the GFA, he needs to have better academic knowledge and certificates,” Sarfo told Onua FM.
However, Chibsah does not agree with Sarfo's reaction and has urged him to apologize to Appiah.
"Nana Oduro Sarfo must apologize to Stephen Appiah because football is not all about academics, he should relax and stop attacking personalities," he told Angel Sports Live.
