The 2023/24 MTN FA Cup campaign is officially starting this weekend as clubs in the lower-tier leagues battle it out in the first round.

Games will be played from Friday, October 27, to Monday, October 30.

This means there will be no action in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season this weekend.

The draw for the preliminary round of the MTN FA Cup was held at the GFA Secretariat on Tuesday, October 24.

At the end of the draw, clubs were zoned regionally and based on proximity, resulting in a number of local derbies at various match venues.

The first round of the games will see a renewal of rivalries when Wa Suntaa takes on local Maana in Wa, Steadfast vs Tamale City in Tamale, Okwawu United vs Kotoku Royals FC in Akim Tafo, Asekem FC vs King Faisal in Beposo amongst others.

Meanwhile, the winners from this round of the competition will join the 18 Premier League Clubs
