The Black Stars of Ghana have trained for the first time today as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification game against Madagascar later this week.

The male senior national team of Ghana opened camp in Accra on Monday but moved camp to Kumasi on Tuesday.

This evening, the Black Stars led by head coach Chris Hughton and his assistants held a training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

There are 22 players who have reported to camp.

They include Joseph Paintsil, Baba Iddrisu, Denis Odoi, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu, Nicholas Opoku, Osman Bukari, Majeed Ashimeru, Jordan Ayew, Edmund Addo, Andre Ayew, Jonathan Sowah, and Gideon Mensah.

The others in camp are Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Joseph Wollacott, Richard Ofori, Ernest Nuamah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Amartey, Kassim Nuhu Adams, Abdul Salis Samed, Mohammed Kudus.

Sources have indicated that the rest of the players will be in camp before the close of the day.
