Ghana international, Gideon Mensah has made a major step on his road to recovery from his last injury.

The Black Stars defender suffered an injury in AJ Auxerre's match week 29 game against Troyes in the French Ligue early this month.

The defender got the knock and AJ Auxerre coach Christopher Pelissier immediately made the change after communicating with his medical staff.

Gideon Mensah was replaced by Guinea defender Julian Jeanvier in the 26th minute.

After being sidelined for more than one week, the full-back has made a quick injury recovery.

He has started individual training with one of his team’s physios and looking forward to taking part in full team training in no time.

It is unclear if Gideon Mensah will be ready for the AJ Auxerre match against FC Nantes this weekend on Sunday, April 16.

The return of the attacker is important for his club as the team pushes to escape relegation at the end of the 2022/23 French Ligue 1 season.
