German-born Ghanaian attacker Ragnar Ache scored in SpVgg Greuther Fürth's friendly 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Deutsche Bank Park on Thursday afternoon.
Eintracht had a first notable opportunity in the 7th minute. After a chipped ball in the box, Luca Itter cleared before Timothy Chandler. On the other side, the cloverleaf created two promising chances.
In the 18th minute of the game, Frankfurt's best chance came in the first half - although it resulted from a slipped cross attempt by Philipp Max, which Leon Schaffran parried superbly in the Fürther box. After 24 minutes, Evan Ndicka still had a chance to head the ball from an SGE corner, but he put the ball well over it.
The first action in the penalty area then belonged to Eintracht, which was able to use a misunderstanding in the Fürth box to make it 1-0 through Lucas Alario.
The Fürther answer followed only four minutes later. Max Christiansen initiates the attack from the left with an outside instep pass into Pululu's run. He lifts his head and finds Ragnar Ache who pushes in to equalize in the 54th minute. Ache again had a chance to score but his shot hit the post.
The friendly match ended in a 1-1 draw.
