In a resounding endorsement of Southampton's rising star, Kamaldeen Sulemana, former Saints defender Ryan Bertrand has showered praise on the Ghanaian prodigy for his attacking prowess.
Since his high-profile move from Stade Rennais in January 2023, Sulemana's journey at the club has been marked by flashes of brilliance.
Sulemana made his first Premier League appearance on 4 February 2023 in a 3–0 defeat against Brentford, replacing Ibrahima Diallo at half-time. Sulemana scored his first Premier League goals in a 4–4 draw with Liverpool on 28 May 2023.
“He is a dangerous player, very creative and he prefers to go on his right on side. He is still finding his feet and he obviously has talent but this has to be understood by the manager and that has been a slow process,” he told Citi Sports.
“Southampton’s fortunes have changed remarkably now because of his reintroduction to the team,” he added.
Kamaldeen Sulemana has made seven appearances and assisted two goals in the English Championship this season.
