Former Asante Kotoko board member Bernard Ziel has pleaded with the team's supporters to quit pointing fingers at the FA and other football media personalities for the club's problems.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has recently been under fire from some of the club's management and supporters for allegedly scheming to ruin them by assigning biased referees to their matches.
In a radio interview with Kessben FM, Ziel refuted these allegations and said that Asante Kotoko's victory in the 2021–22 Ghana Premier League was due to the GFA.
He urged people in authority to assume accountability and make wise choices to support the team, and he suggested the administration of the team market their games well in traditional media to boost matchday attendance.
Kotoko recently sacked their Burkinabe coach Seydou Zerbo due to poor results. Assistant coach Abdul Gazale is now in charge till a head coach is appointed.
The Porcupine Warriors will take on Berekum Chelsea today in their match week 26th game at Golden City Park.
