The Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Seth Panwum has argued that constantly sacking coaches who struggle to perform with the Black Stars is not the answer.

Speaking to Akoma FM, the NSA Board Chairman has proposed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should give the next national team head coach a long-term contract.

“It can't always be the dismissal of the head coach; that won't fix the problem. Before the Afcon, certain FA officials were opposed to the coach because he was not their preferred candidate, so he did not receive the full support of the organization.

“I propose that the next coach sign a long-term deal, return to basics, and address the fundamentals. It is time for the FA to listen to Ghanaians because the squad is funded by taxpayers,” Seth Panwum stressed.

Already, the Ghana FA has set up a committee and tasked it to find a new head coach for the Black Stars in three weeks.

It is expected that the new head coach will be appointed before the end of February.
