President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has provided an update on plans to construct two first clash pitches at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

According to the Ghana FA capo, the construction will commence in August this year.

“We are still investing in the game for the construction of two natural first-class pitches at the Technical Centre, this work will start in August and it will add up to the existing pitch infrastructure we have in Prampram.

‘’I know we have already spoken about the betPawa pitch as part of our desire to fix the problems we have identified,” Kurt Okraku said as quoted on the website of the GFA.

When completed, the facility is expected to host Premier League and lower Division matches and also provide the needed platform for players in the country to develop their talents and skills.

According to the Ghana FA, the project will be funded by proceeds from FIFA Forward 2.0.
