The head coach of Kotoku Royals, John Eduafo has blamed hard luck for his team’s defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The relegated side on Monday afternoon hosted the defending Ghana Premier League champions in a Week 31 encounter of the league campaign.

Despite a good performance from Kotoku Royals, the team lost 3-1 to the Porcupine Warriors.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach John Eduafo said his team lost because they gave away two easy goals.

“It was a very good performance from my players. I will say it was hard luck. We just gave them two clear chances in the early parts of the game and they scored those goals.

“We came back strongly, we scored one goal. In the totality of the game it was a good match but just hard luck,” Coach John Eduafo said.

Kotoko Royals after a poor display in the top-flight division have already been relegated.

The team will hope to win as many games as possible in the last three games of the season to appease fans.
