Ghanaian football stars Asamoah Gyan and Baffour Gyan have been implicated in a case of alleged wrongful possession of property, as a report has been filed against them at the Mile 7 police station in Accra.

The complaint was made by businessman Emmanuel Bonfeh, who claims that the Gyan brothers, owners of the popular sachet water company Paradise Mineral Water, stole his Articulator truck.

The New Crusading Guide, in its publication on Friday, June 16, 2023, revealed that the truck in question has been at the center of a legal dispute between the Gyan brothers and an overseas-based businessman who happens to be a friend of Bonfeh, the original owner.

According to the report, the Articulator truck, valued at over GH₵400,000, was discovered on the premises of Paradise Mineral Water Company located in Hebron, off the Accra-Kumasi road.

Upon uncovering this, Bonfeh promptly reported the owners of the sachet water manufacturing company to the Mile 7 police station, leading to the summoning of Baffour Gyan, the elder brother.

Baffour Gyan reportedly claimed responsibility for the seizure of the truck, stating that it was done in response to a breach of contract by a business partner.

Following his statement, Baffour Gyan was briefly detained but subsequently released on self-recognizance bail, with an assurance that the truck would be returned to its rightful owner on the same day.
