FC Köln's highly promising German-born Ghanaian talent, Justin Diehl, will be notably absent from the squad in the upcoming clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Diehl's absence is attributed to a bout of illness, a development that has set the team back just ahead of a crucial home game.

According to exclusive information from GEISSBLOG, Diehl was unable to participate in the crucial final training session held on Friday, adding to the growing concern within the club. This marks the third consecutive day the offensive player has been sidelined due to illness, having also missed the two preceding days of training.

The unexpected setback comes at a critical juncture for FC Köln, who now face the formidable Eintracht Frankfurt without one of their offensive assets.

The 19-year-old offensive player showcased his skills in FC Köln's recent draw against Wolfsburg on January 27th.

In the game against Wolfsburg, Faride Alidou scored the first goal for FC Koln with a header from the centre of the box to the top left corner following a set piece situation in the 38th minute.

Justin Diehl came on in the 76th minute to replace Dejan Ljubicic.

Kevin Paredes scored the equalizer with a left footed shot from very close range to the centre of the goal. Paredes goal was assisted by Joakim Mæhle.
