Social media users have praised new Ghana head coach Chris Hughton for taking time to watch three local games across the country in a week.

The latest was on Saturday when he travelled up north to Tamale to watch Real Tamale United lose to Nsoatreman in the MTN FA Cup quarterfinal at Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

This has impressed many Ghanaians who took to social media to praise him for honouring of his promise to watch more local games at his unveiling.

The 64-year-old has already watched some games in the Ghana Premier League after signing his contract as the head coach of the Black Stars in March.

Hughton watched his first local game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 2, as Great Olympics beat Berekum Chelsea 2-1 in a Ghana Premier League week 25 fixture.

In an outstanding league game between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal that ended in a goalless draw on Wednesday, the former Spurs manager was at Baba Yara Sports Stadium to watch.

On Friday, the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager was at Dawu to watch Dreams FC beat Legon Cities 1-0 in the quarterfinal of the FA Cup

The next day, he was at Aliu Mahama Stadium accompanied by Black Stars assistant Didi Dramani and Team Manager, Mohamed Ameenu Shardow to watch Real Tamale United play Nsoatreman in another FA Cup quarterfinal game

Chris Hughton, who replaced Otto Addo on a 21-month deal, has made a good start by recording a win and draw in his first two games played against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last month.
