Odense Boldklub expressed their excitement over the signing of Leeroy Owusu, a Dutch-born Ghanaian defender, as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

The football director, Björn Wesström, spoke highly of Owusu's abilities and expressed optimism about the impact he will make on the team.

In an official statement released by Odense Boldklub on Saturday, June 17, Wesström highlighted the qualities that attracted them to sign Owusu.

"During the scouting process, I got to know him as a very professional player who has a strong desire to continue developing, both as a player and as a person. We are very excited to start working together with Leeroy when the new season starts again," Wesström stated.

Leeroy Owusu, aged 26, joins Odense Boldklub after departing from Willem II Tilburg in the Dutch second tier.

Having started his football journey at the renowned AFC Ajax academy at the age of seven, Owusu has already accumulated a wealth of experience in Dutch football.

He featured for AFC Ajax until the U21 level before representing several Dutch clubs, including De Graafschap, Excelsior, and Willem II, where his contract recently expired.
