The first of the quarter-final games in this season’s MTN FA Cup has been cleared today, Friday, April 7.
After several months of action in the domestic cup competition, eight clubs are fighting for a place in the semi-finals this weekend.
Today it was Dreams Football Club hosting Legon Cities FC in the first of the four quarter-final matches.
In a game played at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, neither side could score in the 90 minutes.
With the game travelling to extra time, it was Dreams FC that had the better of Legon Cities FC.
A solitary strike from Emmanuel Adade in the 113th minute secured a narrow 1-0 win for the home team.
The victory has knocked out Legon Cities FC and sent Dreams Football Club to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The remaining three matches in the quarter-finals will be cleared on Saturday and Sunday.
