In a dramatic showdown on match day six of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, Nations FC showcased their attacking prowess, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.

Coach Kassim Mingle, visibly proud of his team's performance, asserted that his players outshone the formidable Asante Kotoko by creating a surplus of goal-scoring opportunities.

Nations FC took the lead from a corner kick in the 50th minute through Andrews Ntim Manu who turned the ball into his own net.

Kalo Ouattara scored the equalizer for Asante Kotoko in the 87th minute before Michael Kyei Dwamena gave the Porcupine Warriors the lead in added time.

Prosper Ogum’s team thought they were heading for the victory but Nations FC didn’t give up.

The hosts were awarded a penalty before the game was put on hold for minutes. It was eventually converted by Amidou Diarra to end the game 2-2.

"I told them we are playing better than them and we are creating the chances so they should more forward we can equalize and add another one to it," he said after the game.

"If such an incident had not happened we could have equalized and add another one to it. It is unfortunate from the first half you saw the goal that they scored the second goal the linesman waved he brought the flag down again you watch the camera you saw.

"So immediately he waved the boys relaxed and they kicked the ball into the net but it is football we take it and go and work for our next match,"
